Rufat Gocayev Jafar oglu was born on October 13, 1978. He graduated from Azerbaijan State University of Economics faculty of Business Management and Catering Establishments. He started mountaineering in 1995. Rufat continues his career as a professional mountain guide since 2006.

 

-    He have been all 4,000m peaks in the territory of Azerbaijan.
-    He climbed in 2007 Tufandag (4191 m)  and Shahdag (4243 m), in 2009 (first winter accend) to Haydar Aliyev (3751 m) peaks with 3B difficulty level.
-    In 2008, he physically participated in the naming of the Ilham summit (4042m).
-    Since 2010, Rufat is a member of the national team of  Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation.
-    He has been 6 times on 7000 m. high peaks.
-    In 2012, he is awarded by Ministry of Youth and Sports as a “Mountaineer of the Year” for the climbing 3 highest 7000 m peaks in Pamir in one mounth.
-    In 2012 he graduated from the Mountain Rescue School in the North Caucasus,Russia ( jeton №283)
-    He is a candidate for the 1st sport degree in mountainering.
-    Rufat Gojayev is a candidate for honorary title "Snow Leopard".
-    In 2012, he established the "QARTAL Mountaineering Sports Club".
-    As a first Azerbaijanian Winter ascend to both summit of Elbrus (  west-5642; east-5621 ) 
-    Two times winter climb to Damavand  ( 5671 m )
-    He has been over 150 high mountainous areas.
